The HI WAY started when Honolulu Theatre for Youth in March 2020 when the world shut down.  The resident company of actors, designers, and makers teamed up with NMG Network and Hawaii News Now to create a 30-minute television series for children and families in Hawaii.  The series airs on local NBC and CBS affiliates and has received 8 Emmy® nominations, won 3 Emmy® awards, and reached more than 6 million views since 2020.
